Nova Broadband is a Cork-based internet service provider (ISP). Using our own broadband network, we have been providing high-quality communications services including residential broadband and business IP services since 2004. What you will be doing for us…. 

  • Responding to sales enquiries in a timely fashion via phone, email and social media. 
  • Maintaining our lead system to a high standard. 
  • Contacting existing customers to offer upgrades & upgrade records. 
  • Completing weekly call targets to ensure smooth running of specific campaigns. 
  • Completion of weekly sales reports. 
  • Contributing (via video call) to weekly meetings 
  • You will be a strong team member with excellent communication and planning skills. (and comfortable working remotely with advanced |IT communications/video calls. )

  • Is extremely analytical with excellent problem-solving ability. 
  • Is flexible on start and finish times. 
  • Is available to work occasional weekends for trade shows or specific campaigns.

  • Is capable of working under time pressure with excellent time-management ability.

Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience 

  • At least two years experience in a telesales role. 
  • Good working knowledge of business IT system, (MS office, Google Applications, and On-Line office systems). 
  • A proven track record of achievements in sales. 
  • Two excellent references. 

Desirable (but not required) 

  • Previous experience in a Level 1 technical support role. 

This is a work from home position. You would be required to have a suitable space available in your home to carry out your duties. However, we do have desk space available in our virtual office in Hollyhill, Cork should you wish to be office based instead. You would be required to attend a monthly staff meeting in our Hollyhill office, along with a weekly staff video conference. You must have home broadband capable of supporting our systems, in particular Voice over IP.

Hours: 12 hours per week (2 x 3 hour morning shift, 2 x 3 hour evening shift)

We are looking For:Helpdesk / Sales Support Agent

We are growing rapidly and an opening exists for key personnel to join at an exciting time, with a unique opportunity to grow with the business.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound technical support calls, emails and online tickets from business and residential broadband customers and returning of messages
  • Log helpdesk tickets, requesting relevant information from customers
  • Provide timely support to engineers on installations or service calls
  • Escalate any tickets, network faults or resource issues where appropriate
  • See tickets through to closure (or escalation if absolutely necessary), mindful of keeping time-to-resolve as short as possible
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful manner towards customers and colleagues when under pressure
  • Configure user accounts, customer routers, phone adapters, etc. as required
  • Daily calls / emails to existing customers to roll out new products available in their area
  • Answer inbound sales enquiries via phone, email and social media
  • Desktop surveys using Google earth to qualify all leads

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in an IT helpdesk role with a cross selling / upselling element (customer facing a distinct advantage)
  • Be able to juggle multiple support tickets with any other ad-hoc tasks effectively
  • Be capable of working under time pressure with excellent time-management ability
  • Be happy to work autonomously while being able to contribute to our team when required
  • Have a passion for technology while having a good personable nature with excellent communication skills
  • Have impeccable oral and written communication skills and fluent English
